Varsity Cheer State Championships

This Friday, December 3rd, are the Varsity State Championships for 5A cheer. Our varsity performs around 10am for preliminaries. We will need to miss that due to school. Last year they made finals, and we really hope to make finals again this year. If they do, they will perform again at around 7pm (the top six 5A cheer finalists perform for 2nd time). The announcement of the finalists will be at 2:50pm. I will text the JV girls at 3pm when school gets out to let them know if Monarch made finals.

JV cheer should be there to support our team in finals. It would be great for the girls to see the cheer state finals regardless of whether or not our varsity is in the finals. So, you may want to carpool to the colliseum Friday night. You will need to be at the stadium no later than 6:30pm in order to find a seat for finals. That means leaving by 6pm. The stands will get very crowded. Cost is $6 for students, and $8 for adults.
The all-girls teams will be done at 8pm. Then at 9:15pm, the Final Awards are announced.
